Elderly Housing, Winthrop (East Boston Community Development)

East Boston Community Development renovated a school building built in 1921 for elderly housing. The building is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places which required maintaining the historical features of the building and some portions of the exterior site features. Eaglebrook was retained by the architect Michael Angelo Interbartolo Jr. Architects to perform the site grading, stormwater design, utility service connections and to investigate the feasibility of implementing a water harvesting system captured from the roof runoff. Off-site storm drain improvements were required as the record plans did not reflect changed conditions in the field.
