Eaglebrook Engineering & Survey is fully registered with the Central Contractor Register and is able to service government agencies as a prime contractor or subcontractor. Our NAISC codes are 541330, 541340, and 541370. Our small business classification under the Brooks Act can help large prime contractors meet their subcontracting requirements. Our most recent completed federal projects are the crane rail survey at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and the SERE School in Rangeley Maine.
Crane Rail Survey, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) needed to upgrade numerous bridge cranes at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Facility located in Kittery, Maine and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Prior to implementing the upgrades a survey of the crane rails was required to determine if the rails meet the Crane Manufacturers Association of America Specifications for Top Running Bridge and Gantry Type Multiple Girder Electric Overhead Traveling Cranes (CMAA-70). Survey data was collected with a LEICA TPS1205 TCRP Robotic Instrument to meet the accuracy requirements of 0.008 feet for the horizontal and vertical locations. The field information was analyzed in a spreadsheet for span, alignment, straightness, and elevation based on the criteria established by CMAA-70.

SERE School, Rangeley Maine
Eaglebrook provided civil engineering and surveying services to map the existing conditions and assisted with the site design for the proposed improvements to the US Naval SERE School in Rangeley Maine. The survey services required the use of GPS to establish horizontal and vertical control based on the Maine State Plane Coordinate System. Civil engineering services included the design and site grading for a new garage facility located on mountainous terrain.
